Collaborate. Connect. Co-produce.
HICO is a collective of people providing practical help, advice and support primarily to the public sector and not-for-profit organisations.

We put together bespoke teams to support others to find solutions to challenges they face.

In short, we're an extra pair of hands with the skills and experience ready to hit the ground running.

How we work

A diverse network
of people
We have a diverse network of associates with deep understanding of practice and policy.
A 'One Public Service' Lens
We undertake all our work through a ‘One Public Service’ lens and in line with the requirements of the Wellbeing of Future Generations Act (Wales) 2015.
Build rapport
quickly
We are authentic and build rapport quickly. Our healthy balance of skills, and a shared moral purpose, enable us to deliver diversity of thought and experience leading to a unique blend that is both creative and grounded in reality.
Maintaining Public Service Values
We are drawn from the public services. We have significant experience working in a wide range of public and third-sector settings and want to promote and cement public sector values in all that we do.
Services in English and Welsh
We provide our services in both Welsh and English. We do this because we want to, not because we must. We celebrate and champion Welsh culture with the language at its heart.
We give back in
multiple ways
We give back. We provide access to free quarterly workshops on public sector challenges that impact wellbeing in Wales. These are open to anyone working in the public or third sectors in Wales.
